About this event
Montacute Valley has two sites we work at, the first is Quarry Track and the second is Orchard Track. Both are accessed from Montacute Road. To locate us drive up Montacute Road and look for the Friends volunteering sign to determine which site will be the focus this month.
Wear sturdy shoes for going off track. Bring your hat, sunscreen and morning tea. We also recommend long sleeves and trousers to protect your legs and arms from scratches.
If the fire warning rating is severe or higher this event will be automatically be cancelled. Wet or windy weather may also cause the cancellation of this event.
This month, we will go back the the little gully we found which is full of native vegetation, but under threat from Rhamnus and Olive.
Hopefully some drill and fill, and maybe the small ones will succumb to the tree popper.
